The Sideways Finger Slider is a baseball pitch that was invented in 1940 by Frake Fergusen I who was looking for a way to strike out McCovey Kent & become the only pitcher to strikeout McCovey Kent with a type of slider. The pitcher throws this pitch just like a slider except that the index finger is curved in & is very easy to hit for power.
